Antigua (the “u” is silent) boasts 365 beaches, one for every day of the year. Nelson’s dockyard is one of my favorite spots for the history and Runaway Bay for the view, the water and the beachside bars. This island is a great excursion from the Cruise Ships and on my last visit, was able to escape the rest of the pax by escaping to the beach at the Coconut Grove Restaurant and Bar after visiting Nelson’s dockyard.
