The West Bay of Roatan, one of the Bay Islands of Honduras features beautiful beaches and excellent scuba diving. I stayed at the Bananarama Resort that features great divemasters and great bartenders at the Thirsty Turtle Bar.
The West End, just north of West Bay features a lively nightclub scene, great restaurants and a slow relaxed pace. Be forewarned that there are a lot of sand flies that are no-see-ums and will bite with a vengeance. Deet is the best defense by applying a little to your ankles and elbows.
The Roatan painting is now featured in the Ron Judkins movie, Finding Neighbors, and this is one of the first five Beach Paintings by Stu Coleman.
